On October 1st 2025, we came together at the Rainbow Room, NYC, to honor Bruce Morrison and his pivotal role in the creation of the Morrison Visa Program, celebrating 30 years of a legacy that has changed thousands of lives in the Irish-American community and beyond.

As part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Morrison Visa Program, Bruce Morrison received a personal letter from President Bill Clinton and Secretary Hillary Clinton. In their message, they congratulated him on his lifelong dedication to strengthening the bond between the United States and Ireland and recognised his pivotal role in advancing peace in Northern Ireland. Their words stand as a powerful testament to the enduring impact of the Morrison Visa and its contribution to friendship, opportunity, and unity across the Atlantic.
A Tribute from Author Colum McCann
Renowned Irish writer and founder of Narrative 4, Colum McCann, shared a moving letter with Bruce Morrison to mark the 30th anniversary of the Morrison Visa Program. In his message, McCann reflects on the courage and vision that inspired the program—an idea that, as he writes, “lit other candles” and helped heal generations. He credits Bruce Morrison’s leadership with sparking hope, fostering peace, and shaping a more open, compassionate world for countless Irish immigrants and their descendants.
